Nintendo's Legend of Zelda franchise over the years has defined a genre, first revolutionizing the action-adventure and then evolving it with several critically acclaimed sequels.
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, in many ways eclipses its predecessors. Set in a huge overworld that takes more than seven minutes to traverse by boat (at full wind speed), it's not only easy to get lost, but it's near impossible to find all the secrets without a helping hand. IGN's Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker wiki strategy guide helps you along through the main quest with a detailed walkthrough with plenty of maps and images. It also gives you important tips on all the sidequests, hidden treasures and secrets.
The IGN Guide to Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker was originally written in 2003 by Peer Schneider. We converted it to an editable wiki in 2011. It now houses strategies for both the GameCube and Wii U (The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD) versions, as well as a searchable, editable overworld map of the game.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker Walkthrough[edit]
Although the overall quest is linear, there isn't one right way of getting through the game. For every island you have to visit to complete the quest, there are two that you could skip. But playing straight through the quest is just half the fun, that's why we have a complete index of Sidequests as well! But if you want to blaze through the game without taking detours, here's the entire walkthrough quest timeline, listed chronologically alongside the main objectives.
