Hi Anon9999999999999999,

Getting the error 0xc00d5212 when playing AVI file is usually caused by outdated display driver or has something to do with the video codec. Since you've already updated the driver for your Intel HD Graphics 630, then I suggest that you uninstall your audio drivers and let Windows reinstall the appropriate version as multiple audio drivers might be installed on your system. To do that, follow these steps:

  1. Right-click the Windows key and click Device Manager.
  2. In the Device Manager, expand the Sound, video and games controllers, right click on any 3rd party audio device, and click Uninstall.
  3. In the Confirm Device Uninstall window, make sure to check the Delete the driver software for this device option, then click OK.

4. Restart your computer.

Once your computer is up, try playing an AVI file using the Movie & TV app and see if it works.

In case the issue persists, please check if there are any Windows updates available. Navigate to Settings > Update & Security and click on Check for updates to install any pending updates. Reboot your computer after the update and try playing any AVI file.

Please update this thread with the result so I can assist you if further help is needed.
